My first skirt

Of course this it's not my first skirt I've ever worn or ever owned...BUT it is the first skirt I've ever sewn!

I've been wanting to learn how to sew for months, even years now and I finally did it. Mom mom is a wonderful seamstress and when she was visiting this past weekend I took full advantage and had my first sewing lesson. We headed to the fabric store where I immediately fell in love with this fabric and found the perfect pattern and soon we were sewing away. It was SO much fun and I'm super happy with the results. I loved it so much I've already started planning my next creation. I can't wait!

a skirt was my first sewing project as well. it's a great way to learn because it is simple, but has all the basic steps you really need to learn. very cute, good job!

my mom is a great seamstress as well, and she has loaned me her sewing machine to try my hand at it...I have one pattern (a skirt), and this has inspired me to try it! thanks for sharing!

Ohhhh, that's beyoootiful. I'm terrible with the needle, but God, I always have the best intentions. Hahahaha. This is like something that I'd try my hand at and then get distracted and give it up as a bad job. My drawers are full of failed sewing projects :')
